BLACK SWAN - DANCE IQUAIL

Black Swan is an evening-length dance-based production to be choreographed by Iquail Shaheed to the music of artist/activist Nina Simone (1933-2003). The project explores the experience of the black ballerina as a window into issues of race, identity, and isolation, incorporating elements of performance art to investigate these psychological tensions. You don't want to miss this work that has been described as  "...one of the most diversely expressive dance performances on the stage today, arguably ever."  - Matt Hanson. Broadway world. 

Starring: Shay Bland, Aliyah Caldwell, Alia Kache, Amarachi Korie, Allison Sale, Marcus Williams, & Samara Taylor

Additionally performers includes students from Goucher College, Baltimore School for the Arts, Carver Center for the Arts, Connections Arts Magnet High School,  and Towson University
