I like "Prairie Home Companion," and perhaps set my expectations too high for Keillor's live performance.
It was certainly funny and had many of the characteristics that make his brand unique, but too often it was meandering, demeaning, and uncomfortable. Keillor attacked millennials and came off an old White man yelling at the clouds. The sort of absurdity that makes his other works exceptional manifested as contentious and pompous.
A worthwhile event, but there are have been better.
