Food Justice Summit

Hyman Forum, Sanford J. Ungar Athenaeum

A distinguished panel will discuss food justice issues from the perspectives of a farmer, a restauranteur, policy and governance, and community-based grassroots organizations, followed by a Q&A. A small group discussion focusing on how we at Goucher—as individuals, as a community, and as an institution—can engage more earnestly with issues of food justice will follow. The panel and small group discussions will conclude by 5:30.

The panel:

Tiffany Welch, Food Justice Organizer, No Boundaries Coalition

Eric Jackson, Servant-Director, Black Yield Institute

Holly Freishtat, Food Policy Director, Baltimore City Office of Sustainability

Mike Tabor, Owner, Licking Creek Bend Farm

Spike Gjerde, Executive Chef, Woodberry Kitchen and Food Shed
