1000 Cranes—Community Origami
The #IWillListen Campaign uses social media, campus media, and events to encourage people to talk about and listen to issues surrounding mental health.
During this event, students will have the opportunity to connect with members of the Goucher community while contributing towards the goal of constructing 1000 paper cranes. According to Japenese folklore, when one folds 1000 origami cranes, their wish/hope will be granted. This activity serves to symbolize healing, hope, and happiness, while encouraging campus community engagement and a dialogue of help seeking.
