Community Common Hour

Join us for the first in our series of Community Common Hours – to be held the last Wednesday of each month – in which we will share interesting work happening at Goucher.   Building on the themes raised in the summer reading, Just Mercy, completed by all first year and sophomore students, we will explore possible next steps.   Recognizing that injustices occur every day in our world, how can we make a difference?  We’ll consider one effort, the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP), through a panel of participants representing multiple perspectives.  Learn how this initiative lives out its mission to expand the Goucher student body to include men and women in prison. Current students, faculty, and staff can also learn about ways to get involved. As well, we’ll share information about how Goucher’s new Exploration Hub can assist you in making additional connections between your interests and opportunities for engaging thoughtfully with community.
