Join us for an enlightening session via Zoom on Constitution and Citizenship Day, featuring the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP). This event will showcase GPEP’s innovative approach to education to students in prison, underscoring Goucher’s commitment to educational access and to equipping students with the knowledge and skills to be engaged citizens and change makers. Attendees will learn about GPEP as a partnership between Goucher and the Maryland state prison system as well as its new initiatives, future plans and how you can get involved. You will also learn about recent student research focused specifically on the rights of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people and the work of former GPEP students to advocate for those rights in the local and national community.
