Speaker Series: Latinx in STEM - Dr Rigoberto Hernández

Dr Rigoberto Hernández, Gompf Family Professor of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins and Director of the Open Chemistry Collaborative in Diversity Equity (OXIDE).

Dr. Hernandez is a physical chemist who studies how reactions behave when chemical systems are far from equilibrium. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton and PhD from UC Berkley. He has since worked at the Weizmann Institute in Israel, UPenn, and Gerogia Tech before coming to Baltimore. Dr. Hernandez was born in Cuba, and emigrated to Spain and then moved to the United States.

This event is part of Goucher's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, and it is sponsored by the Taylor Fund and the Center for Natural Sciences at Goucher College.
