Employer Visits

The Career Education Office is hosting virtual employer visits in the middle of your break to help you connect with exciting employers and learn more about navigating the internship process.

Internships can be transformative learning experiences as you explore organizations and career paths, as well as hone skills learned in the classroom. They are also impactful on post-Goucher plans. A survey completed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers showed that students who completed at least one internship received a job offer more quickly and had a higher first position salary than those who did not.

The breakdown:

• Take virtual tours of employer sites arranged around our industry-based Career Communities. Students can view and register for sessions through their Handshake account

Register for our online, self-paced Internship Tutorial to supplement our employer conversations and help prepare you for your own internship search

• Gain insights to inform your career exploration and get tips to stay connected to these big name local employers

• Open to all students, but First Years are especially encouraged to participate

Employer hosts include CBS News, Sheppard Pratt, T. Rowe Price, Clean Water Action, Court Appointed State Advocate (CASA), and Maryland Art Place. All sessions can be accessed via Zoom at: https://goucher.zoom.us/j/99884202540?pwd=U2tPU3FpOVNrazZONHVtUmI4azRBdz09
