Jaclyn obtained her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Oregon where she studied how molecular interfaces influence the conductivity, geometry, and toxicity of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles under Professor Jim Hutchison . While at the University of Oregon, she founded and led two student groups focused on supporting ethno-racial minority graduate students. Jaclyn discovered her love of chemistry at Goucher College and is forever grateful to the professors that fostered her interest and set her on this career path.
