 nflict.\n\nElizabeth B. Hessami\, J.D.\, LL.M. (Environmental Law) is a Fa
 culty Lecturer for Johns Hopkins University\, where she teaches Environmen
 tal Security\, Public Lands and Private Interests\, and International Envi
 ronmental Law and Policy. Her primary area of research has been the impact
  of armed conflict on the environment with a focus on Afghanistan and Ukra
 ine. She is a member of the Washington\, D.C. and U.S. Supreme Court Bars\
 , and Co-Chair of the Law Interest Group for the Environmental Peacebuildi
 ng Association. She is also a member of the IUCN-World Commission on Envir
 onmental Law.
