John Davis is a conservationist, writer, and wildways scout for the Rewilding Institute, dedicated to restoring and reconnecting wild habitats across North America. He has held leadership roles with RESTORE: The North Woods, the Eddy Foundation, Champlain Area Trails, the Cougar Rewilding Foundation, and the Algonquin to Adirondack Conservation Collective. Davis is the author of Big, Wild, and Connected: Scouting an Eastern Wildway From Florida to Quebec, which chronicles his 7,600-mile TrekEast expedition promoting an Eastern Wildway. He continues to champion large-landscape conservation and rewilding initiatives across the continent.
