 alogues: Can We Predict the Climate?\, is on Thursday\, October 19\, from 
 12-1 pm ET and all are welcome to attend.\n\nIn this webinar\, Dr. Dan Bar
 rie will discuss the rewards and challenges modeling climate change to bet
 ter inform decision makers and other stakeholders.\n\nDr. Dan Barrie is a 
 program manager in the Climate Program Office at the National Oceanic and 
 Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) where he manages a climate modeling prog
 ram as well as a program that supports the National Climate Assessment (NC
 A).  He served on the Federal Steering Committee for NCA4\, released in 20
 17 and 2018\, and will serve in the same role for NCA5.  He was part of a 
 team that won the 2019 Department of Commerce Silver Award for the Assessm
 ent.  Dan’s interests are in drought and hydroclimate\, energy systems-c
 limate interactions\, climate model development and analysis\, and variabi
 lity and change in marine ecosystems.\n\nGoucher Environmental Dialogues f

 climate leaders\, visionaries\, and innovators. This series is hosted by G
 oucher College’s MA in Environmental Sustainability & Management program
