Join host, Jenn da Rosa, EdD, for a discussion with licensed professional counselor and nature informed therapy specialist, Heidi Schreiber-Pan, PhD. This webinar, Goucher Environmental Dialogues: Nature and Well-being, is on Wednesday, July 5, from 1-2 pm ET and all are welcome to attend.
Summary: In this webinar Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan will discuss her innovative work in nature-informed therapy and nature-based psychological healing. Nature informed therapy integrates the healing elements of nature into a variety of evidence-based treatments to assist people with anxiety, stress, depression, and grief.
Speaker Bio: Heidi Schreiber-Pan, PhD is the clinical director at Chesapeake Mental Health in Maryland and founder of the newly launched Center for Nature Informed Therapy. Dr. Schreiber-Pan is a licensed professional counselor and board approved supervisor. Her clinical specialization in the treatment of anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, stress reduction and occupational burnout has made her a sought-after international speaker. Her research has focused on resiliency, psychological wellbeing, and nature-informed therapy. Dr. Schreiber-Pan has worked with various organizations, schools, and corporations to reduce stress on a communal level and to increase organizational well-being through training in positive psychology as well as integration of nature into mental health. She is the author of the successful self-help book: Taming the Anxious Mind. Her new book The Outside Within: Stories of Nature's Role in Psychological Well-being came out this April (2023).
Overview of Goucher Environmental Dialogues: Goucher Environmental Dialogues feature cultivated conversations with environmental, sustainability, and climate leaders, visionaries, and innovators. This series is hosted by Goucher College’s MA in Environmental Sustainability & Management program and is open to all students, faculty, alumni, and the public.
