The Goucher Theatre Department’s Class of 2019 presents The Skriker, by Caryl Churchill. The story takes place in 80’s London as two teenage women, Lily and Josie, are thrust into motherhood. They must fend for themselves against the Skriker, a shapeshifter and queen of the underworld, who is determined to awaken humanity to environmental destruction. The Skriker and her faerie companions tell a tale of human greed and technological prowess, hoping to find their savior in one of our heroines. Changing the fate of the world comes at a great cost, which may leave you thinking, “be careful what you wish for...”
