Hillel Kol Nidrei Services (Online)
Virtual High Holiday Services 5782 (2021)
As we face the challenge of the ongoing pandemic, we look to our tradition and sacred moments to ground us. This year we are again offering free services via the internet. Goucher Hillel will be offering Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services online via zoom webinar and Facebook Live this year. For students on campus, there will be on-campus meals and programming during the High Holiday season in addition to these virtual services.
What will services be like this year?
Services will be led by Rabbi Josh Snyder and Allyson Zacharoff for a third year. We welcome students and families, past participants and their friends and families, and newcomers of all backgrounds to daven (pray) together with us as we welcome the new Jewish year. They will be a bit shorter this year than in the past. Our services include a blend of traditional melodies, interpretive English readings, and opportunities for reflection and inspiration, all of which help to ground us and enable us to move forward in this time of great challenge.
How to Sign Up for Services
To register to be part of the zoom services, please click on the link below each service. We will be scrolling along a modified pdf machzor (prayerbook). We will be sharing our screen with the prayerbook pages during the service so that all attendees can easily follow along with us, without having to click through on your own. If instead you would like to download the prayers to follow on your own as we go, we welcome you to join us on Zoom 10 minutes before any of the services.
Our services are offered free of charge. We ask that non-student attendees consider making a donation to sustain Goucher Hillel's mission of creating dynamic and inclusive Jewish life for our students.
