 spot.\n\nMelanie Lytle is the director of the Historic Preservation and Cu
 ltural Sustainability graduate programs at Goucher College\, Assistant Pro
 fessor of Practice of Historic Preservation\, and an alumna of the preserv
 ation program. Now also the owner of a historic window restoration company
 \, her career has included 17 years as a preservation consultant and worki
 ng on the nonprofit and advocacy side of the field as the executive direct
 or of the Maryland Association of Historic District Commissions and for an
  architectural easement organization. She is a longtime board member at Re
 storation Works International and has served with the nonprofit in Nepal\,
  India\, and the US. She is also on the board of the Window Preservation A
 lliance. She’s committed to meaningful heritage sustainability and commu
 nity engagement work that supports places that become the location from wh
 ich communities can cultivate their values and community members can addre
 ss local challenges and design strategic innovations to make positive soci
 al change.
