Lavender Ceremony is an annual celebration conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the college. This year, the Lavender Ceremony will be hosted on May 23, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Merrick Lecture Hall. During the ceremony, graduating seniors will be donned with a Lavender cord as a recognition of their achievements and symbol of their overall journey at Goucher.
If you identify as LGBTQIA and are interested participating the Lavender Ceremony, please contact Summer Torres: summer.torres@goucher.edu as soon as possible before Friday, May 4 at 12 noon.
The Lavender Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Merrick. A reception will follow the ceremony in the a Rosenburg Gallery. Please indicate that you would like to attend as an audience member by submitting your RSVP here.
