Life-Changing Equines: A Conversation with Dr. Nina Hooton Gardner '62

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Gardner about her Goucher equestrian experience and book, The Magic of Horses. Dr. Nina Hooton Gardner ’62 has spent most of her life around horses. While at Goucher, Nina was a member of the Riding Club as she prepared for medical school. Later, while working as a developmental pediatrician, Nina and her husband, Dr. Tim Gardner, began breeding several national and international prize-winning three-day eventing and thoroughbred horses. In retirement, Nina authored the book The Magic of Horses, a collection of essays about life-changing horses from a variety of backgrounds.
