Peabody at Goucher: Nosreme String Quartet

In partnership with the Peabody Conservatory, Goucher College presents the inaugural fall season of the Peabody at Goucher Chamber Music series. The series showcases concerts by some of the most talented student performers at Peabody.

The Nosremé Quartet was formed at the Peabody Conservatory and consists of Cellist, George Jennings, Violist, Hsiang-Hsin Ching, Violinists, Hsiang-Yu Sean Meng and Pei Wu Derek Chen. The Quartet’s name, Nosremé, is a yoga term that represents a state of consciousness that allows a group of people to be in the eternity of the present moment.

These passionate musicians have shown their talents on a variety of stages. The quartet has been invited to perform on Peabody’s Noon:30 concert series as well as being chosen to play in chamber music masterclasses. Being in the present moment is their goal in every performance. They believe being in the moment is the best way they can share the emotional story of the music with the audience.
