  Roszel C. Thomsen\, Judge of the United States District Court for the Dis
 trict of Maryland\, and Trustee Emeritus of Goucher College. The Lecturesh
 ip is proud to announce this year’s featured speaker\, Sarah Isgur.\n\nF
 ew possess Sarah Isgur’s deep level of insights and expertise when it co
 mes to explaining transformative events in law and politics\, and how soci
 ety is being reshaped around them. Regarded among the nation’s most repu
 table and in-the-know political commentators\, Isgur is a popular pundit a
 nd powerhouse media personality who is instantly recognizable from her app
 earances across the leading news outlets and author of the New York Times 
 Bestselling book about the Supreme Court titled 'Last Branch Standing' wit
 h Penguin Random House. At The Dispatch\, she serves as senior editor for 
 the publication and host of its “Advisory Opinions” podcast\, reaching
  an audience of hundreds of thousands of readers and listeners\, and bring
 ing them up to speed on what’s going on in politics\, policy\, and law w
 ith balanced insights and captivating color commentary. She also appears f
 requently as a contributor on ABC News and the network’s top-rated progr
 ams\, including “Good Morning America” and “This Week” In addition
 \, she is a regular guest on NPR’s “Left\, Right\, & Center” weekly 
 politics show. She is also the editor of SCOTUSblog.\n\nIsgur draws from h
 er experiences working high-profile campaign roles for political heavyweig
 hts and contributing to all three branches of the federal government to br
 ing a unique\, insider perspective on the news of the day and how decision
 s in Washington really get made. She brings an unapologetic enthusiasm for

 e worked for the Republican National Committee as deputy communications di
 rector from 2013 to 2015 and held roles in election day operations and the

 in politics and law\, Isgur served as a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School
 ’s Institute of Politics and a research fellow with Baylor College of Me
