Title: Democratic Exaltation: A New Interpretation of American Popular Sovereignty
What is (modern) democracy and where did it come from? An appraisal of the idea of sovereignty invites a reevaluation of the relationship between monarchy and democracy. At the same time American democracy rejects the institution of monarchy, it fulfills and amplifies various monarchical values and customs.
