About this Event
Join us VIRTUALLY for a staged reading of Barrymore Award-winning playwright Jacqueline Goldfinger's play The Terrible Girls, directed by Matthew Savin along with stage manager Prachi Ruina.
North Florida, 1990s. Gretch, Birdie, and Minnie are all employees at a bar owned by Mr. Witherose and are tasked with running the establishment while he is away on business. As his absence grows longer and tensions increase, Gretch and Birdie are revealed to both be infatuated with him, unaware that Minnie is guarding a dark secret of his. Exploring the nature of how friendship and secrecy intersect, Jacqueline Goldfinger’s The Terrible Girls is an explosive piece where manners meet the grotesque in a unique blend of dark comedy and Southern Gothic stylings.
Content Warnings for vulgar and crude language, sexual situations, and gun violence.
