Workshop: Artist’s Books and Daily Practice

(3:00-5:00, Collaborative Humanities Lab; Athenaeum Room. 422)

In our time together, students will learn the Sewn Chains binding and will make their own sketchbooks, to be used immediately. We will discuss daily practice, using prompts and parameters to jumpstart our creativity, and look at the work of Lynda Barry, Joel Gill, and Tansy Hargan. All materials will be provided, and we will start working in our books in the second part of the workshop.
