The Baccalaureate Ceremony celebrating the Class of 2026 will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Haebler Memorial Chapel.

This annual tradition offers a quiet and intimate opportunity for graduating seniors to pause and reflect on their Goucher College experience.

Baccalaureate is a tradition at many colleges and universities that started in the 1400s at Oxford University in England. We continue this tradition at Goucher through an interfaith ceremony featuring music, dance, poetry, and reflection.

Baccalaureate is a powerful part of the graduation experience marking the significance of this important time and reflecting on one’s collegiate journey. Faculty, staff, graduates, friends, and families are highly encouraged to attend.
